Hmmm...
I guess I'm the moderator.
"Hi!"
Yep. Not a denomination. Churches creek and crumble when I enter them. My 'church' is wherever it may be. In my mind. I carry it with me wherever I go.
Until that day when I am ready to, I won't 'join' a church or pick a denomination. Don't believe in religious dogma, but believe in morals. self respect and treating others as I would expect to be treated. I do believe in the law of 'karma', and dig the book, and pretty much try to live by 'The Secret'.
But I do have a faith of my own. Does it include GOD?
Probably; but I don't know for sure who or what GOD is. All I know is he/she/it has helped me to be where I am in my slam dance with cancer.
My friends, my family, my dog. Nature. Humanity. Believing in oneself. NOT giving up or giving in. Fighting the good fight. Seeing the good in almost everything. The ability to face fears and get over them. Not allowing others to bring me down...
...or take me down with them.
My Grampa, who was very religious - Baptist - taught me my way of thinking. Taught me faith. Taught me not to fear the inevitable, whether it comes early or later.
Yea, my Grampa. Pretty cool guy...for a square!
But still couldn't talk me into meeting a 'nice guy' in church! 8) _________________ "If you don't like the way I drive, stay off of the sidewalk!" |
